A week later

Gouch executed the engine of the Hummer and hopped out. He took a quick scan of the area, adjusted The Girls on his waistline and made his way to the sidewalk. Pavielle had just stepped out of the beast and slammed the door shut. He and Gouch stood side by side staring up at the glowing sign of the marijuana clinic they were about to enter, 4/20. The name was catchy and made plenty sense since 4/20 was the national weed smokers’ holiday. It gave all of the Pot Heads a good reason to smoke as if they needed one.

“Well, Gucci, let’s see this man about this dog.” Pavielle stepped forth and knocked on the black iron door. A moment later he heard a buzz and the door clicked opened. He pulled open the door and Gouch followed him inside. They took in their surroundings. There were various portraits of iconic characters and celebrities smoking weed. There were three aisles separated by glass shelves. Each shelf had a unique bong or smoking instrument. The rest of the shelves had scented candles, incense, burning oils, lighters and jugs of a special kind of liquid that could clean your piss. In the far left corner there were mix-tapes by every artist you could imagine and in the far right there were bootleg DVDs. Scattered throughout the store were racks of T-shirts with phrases about getting high or being high. Styles P’s ‘I Get High’ played softy from the small speakers that hung from all four corners of the establishment. Pavielle and Gouch looked to their right and found a counter incased in bulletproof glass. On the walls were glass shelves that had large jars filled with marijuana nuggets with labels across them. The labels told the customers what kind of marijuana they had in stock: O.G Kush, Blue Ivy, Train Wreck, etc.

A short, portly woman came from behind the counter and protection of the bulletproof glass. She rocked a shaved head and had a body the shape of a small refrigerator. She wore glasses, a smock and jeans. At the small of her back was a Glock held in a Velcro strapped holster.

“Hi, how are ya fellas doing? I’m Tudy.” She wiped her hands off on the smock and shook Pavielle and Gouch’s hands. “I take it ya here ta see Furious.”

“Indeed we are.” Pavielle responded.

“Right dis way, Gentlemen.” Tudy motioned for Pavielle and Gouch to follow her.

Tudy led Pavielle and Gouch down a corridor and through a storage space littered with boxes of paraphernalia. She stopped at the next door, which was thick, black and iron. There was a digital key-pad above the door knob. A surveillance camera was sat at the right high corner of the door and was pointed directly at the doorway. Tudy blocked Pavielle and Gouch’s view of the key-pad with her back as she pressed the numeric code into the key-pad. The key-pad beeped and its red light turned green. Tudy turned the door knob and pushed her way inside.
